I4m having the following problem:
My TSM Server is a W2k (SP4).
The TSM Server is 5.1.0.0. In Device Manager (Windows) the drivers installed are:
- IBM Magstar 3590 media charger - version 5.0.6.7
- IBM 03590E11 SCSI Sequential Device - version 5.0.6.7
I have two machines. One online and another for tests. The drivers installed are the
same (Windows), and the magstar is the same (3590, the same equipment).
When I did my upgrade (test machine), I4ve been a problem in checkin.
when I did the command:
checkin libv <library> search=yes status=private/scratch
it takes the tape without problems (not into the bulk).
but, when I did the following command:
checkin libv <library> search=bulk status=private/scratch
it NOT takes the tape inside the bulk.
When I see the actlog, it informes me that:

I made a phone call to IBM and they said me that the possible solution it will be
change de microcode level of 3590. Sincerely, I disagree this can be resolve my
problem, because in tsm 5.1, this procedure is running online e ok !!! (so, i didn4t
do my upgrade yet), and the library/drive are the same (I just unplugged from my
online machine to my test machine).
In my online machine I have two libraries, so to prove this I made the same test with
both libraries (I turned off my online server and connect the libraries in my test
machine), and the same problem happened (it4s impossible two libraries have the same
problem - hardware !!!)
I don4t have any idea what to do !!!
