Hi, Volumes are attached to a defined library and each library has its own element range. Duplicate elements will not give you any troubles.

Not ideal, but cheaper than buying a bigger library. I am not sure how best to configure the element numbers... does TSM internally refer to a slot by library/element or just by element? If the latter, will I have to use a range outside of the prescribed 4096-4156? I know that the low level addressing is by device id (LB0.0.0.1), but I just want to ensure that the home_element being duplicated in libvolumes is not going to cause any problems further down the line (other than my home made reporting). Your words of wisdom will be fully appreciated.
