Hi Farren,
    A quick update.  I was mistaken about a couple of things.  The "st" entries
are created again with a higher numerical value only when you make changes to
the system configuration (adding additional cards, modifying the zone and
removing and re-adding devices, etc.).  Also, if you run cfgadm -al as root the
devices will list the appropriate condition value (I wasn't logged in as root
when I ran it to give you the output).  Hope this helps, give me a call if you
