Hi all, A question on sharing a 3494-Library :
We have one 3494-Tape Library with 8 SCSI-Attached 3590E-drives. The Library is connected to an AIX-Server via rs232. The library is only used by TSM. Now we bought an extension Frame D22 with 4 FC-connected 3592-drives. These drives should be used by a second AIX-server (running TSM). My planning is to connect the second AIX-server via RS232 to the library, and define library and new 3592-drives to TSM. Is this possible and does the library support two servers connected and do I have to define anything on the library side? Do I have to use different categories for each server (even though the used drives and tapes are totally different and not compatible) ? Thanks for any help Chris
