Hi Jack!
Maybe your prayers will be heard! I was invited a few weeks ago bu IBM to
evaluate the new TSM GUI (version 5.3 I guess) but my boss didn't allow me
to go... :-(((
I personally would like to see the old ADSM admin GUI return (or a similar
port to Java) with all copy and sort options we used to have, but ADSM-L is
not the proper way to issue requirements. There is an ADSM-R list for this,
but I doubt it will be monitored by IBM. Please submit your requirements
through your sales rep. I have seen positive results from doing this in the
past!
Kindest regards,

I would like a better user side GUI interface. This would keep down calls
for simple restores.

Basically, allow users to restore data they can read, to anywhere they have
permissions to write to. (With auditing of course.)

Also, allow an option for the end users (versus administrators) to only see
data that they have permissions to read.

And make it where the user would see as grayed out (or flagged
appropriately) data that they should have available, but may be 'offline'
for whatever reason.

... Ahhh... If wishes were nickels we would all be millionaires. :) ... Jack
