Hi,
Have been backing up our storage pools of late using LTO tapes in
our tape library IBM 3584. Was attempting to backup the storage pools
(diskpool and tapepool) to LTO2 tapes this morning (as part of a backup
schedule) but it was unsuccessful. The LTO2 tapes were labelled correctly
but when the backup storage pool job initially began it was saying "
ANR1405W Scratch volume mount request denied - no scratch
volume available."
At this point in time there were no scratch LTO tapes available only LTO2,
but the backup refused to work using the LTO2 media.
Can anybody explain why this is ?
