I've seen problems with the tsafs nlm and TSM. Try running the old tsa600 module instead.
Is this a new environment or has it been working?

My TSM client version is: 5.1.6.0 TSM server version is: 5.2.3.0
My Novell version is: 6.04 TSA version 6.54.0 SMDR version 6.54.0
