Volumes become unavailable when TSM calls for a mount, and the mount cannot be completed.
You have to go back and search your TSM activity log and find where the update to access=unavailable occurred. Check the messages for the previous 2-3 minutes; you will find a message of some sort explaining why. -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Lee, Gary D. Almost daily, random volumes will be changed to access = unavailable. When a q vol f=d is done, it is not in error state, and once I do an update vol back to access=readw, all goes well. So far, I have detected no pattern in which volumes are effected. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Gary Lee Senior Operating Systems Analyst Ball State University phone 765-285-1310
