We are using it on Windows and AIX.
Make sure PASSWORDACCESS is set to prompt in the dsm.sys file in the API dir.
And set PASSWORDREQUIRED to yes the init<SID>.utl file.

Did you set the password with "export ADA_OPT=init<SID>utl; adint2 -x"?
Is the directory with the UTL file and the password-file (internparamfile.adi)
readable for the DB-user?

Subject: SAP DB Backup questions

Has anyone ever used the tool ADINT for SAP DB backups, it is a tool used to backup to
TSM. We have it installed and it actually connects into TSM, but we are getting
cannot read password file.
