Good Evening. I was wondering if anyone had experienced any problems with Win2K SP4 machines running the TSM client 5.2.0. The server is an AIX machine running 5.2 with TSM server 5.2.2. These machines sit behind a firewall running over port 6150, server initiated, along with a number of other Win2K servers running TSM client 5.2.0 and SUN machines running 5.2.2. I have 2 machines running Win2K SP3 which backup at a rate around 20MB/sec and the SUN machines are about the same. The 3 machines running Win2K SP4 are running between 58KB/sec and 157KB/sec which is a very big difference. The network settings on the Win2K machines are all the same and I've tested copying about 54MB of data to the machine running very slow(not a TSM backup) which ran at 57MB/sec to make sure the network was not holding it up. I check with the networking people and they are not seeing any collisions.
In the error log on the client I'm seeing ================================== 11/12/2004 08:18:53 processSysvol(): NtFrsApiGetBackupRestoreSets(): RC = 2 11/12/2004 08:18:53 processSysvol(): NtFrsApiDestroyBackupRestore(): RC = 0 ===================================== When I searched the IBM web site it seemed to say these errors could occur in version 5.0.2.6 and lower. The backup seems to finish successfully but it takes a long time. Thanks for the help, Eric
