I believe I told 128MB. 32000x4KB (page size) = 128MB. Regards, Samiran Das

Server crashing non-stop No, No, No......... The 128MB is just fine. I went through a "tuning session" with IBM TSM on MVS support, a year ago. Talked directly with their sole TSM/MVS internals person. He recommended the 128MB DB cache as well as 512MB for REGION. Also recommended tweaking the MAXQUICKSIZE to 20MB from the default internal calculation of 9.9MB ! Just make sure your system exits aren't stopping your proc from getting the region it is asking for (IEFUSI I think).....This gave me heartburn until I found that it was a limiting factor due to somones creative coding. Server crashing non-stop Your BUFPOOSIZE value of 135168 is in higher side. Try something like 32000 to start with and monitor cache hit pct. Server crashing non-stop Why does the MAX init storage show 256 MB and you have 512MB Regionsize? Monitor the CSA TSM-usage with your Z/OS Monitor to get further information of the storageusage (growing?). Do we again have a problem with the MaxQuickFree bytes?
