Indeed. As an alternative, you can do CANcel EXPIration, which is best for your situation of wanting to resume where left off, as opposed to CANcel PRocess.

When you use the durration opiton a pointer is left in the DB and the next time expiration runs it will start from there and go forward. If you actually cancel the process it starts at the begining each time.
