Joni, Your bufferpool size is set higher than your region size, I did not know you could do that I would certainly look at increasing your region size, but you need to check how much real memory is available in your lpar, and how much TSM is actually using. FWIW I am using a region size of 768 mb and BufPoolSize 49152 My database is however only one third as big as yours Another thing not connected with cace hit is that you have CommTimeOut 600 Do you not get a lot of sessions failing with this value, mine is set at 3600 regards, John

The REGION is set to 512MB within the startup JCL. I didn't know what the max. is for the region size, so I didn't change that. I will have to look into increasing that as well. We're using 768M, but then we appear to be a smaller implementation than you based on your database size. ####################### Joe Howell Shelter Insurance Companies (573)-214-6534 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Joni Moyer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> 01/27/2005 08:34 AM Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> To [email protected] cc Subject Server Performance decreasing rapidly: help!
