In http://people.bu.edu/rbs/Infoprint.QuickFacts see topic "Backup performance" for a list of the common issues we have all faced in optimizing backups. Your database growth suggests a lot of elevated client file activity, which is a good place for you to focus attention, as you can observe from backup summaries in your Activity Log and accounting records. Perhaps some new projects or data loading is occurring in some clients.

Hi All,
To day the backup time for 180 GB is taking more time for us. Normally it will take around 2hrs 15 mnts.
If i see in q actlog, one attention message is appearing like ======= more than 1mb of database changes .... use backup db to provide for database recovery ... =========
The above message is coming in the log.
Also, the q session output is showing bytes sent as 149k and bytes received as 68k
Please guide me in this matter immediately, as some more schedules are getting delayed.
