No, I would like to keep all the active files in a disk pool, even If they have not changed in a long time. I don't need to keep all the files in the Disk Pool, just the latest version. "Cache Migrated files" keeps all the files backed up in the Disk Pool, I just want the active files in the Disk Pool.

Are you looking for the "Cache migrated files" option in the disk pool settings ? This will allow you to restore files that are still in the disk pool even after they have been migrated to tape (as long as there is room in the disk pool to store the data). Also, if you set migration delay to 1 you would keep the files in the disk pool for 1 day before they get migrated to the tape pool. I have never used this option but it is documented. -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Martinez, Matt Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 11:27 AM To: ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU Subject: [ADSM-L] A quick question about stgpool. Hi Tsmers, Is there any way to retain the active copy of data to Disk storage pool while migrating the rest to tape. For example keeping the active copy on a Disk Pool while migrating old copies to a Tape Pool. Thank You, Matt Martinez Systems Administrator IDEXX Laboratories, Inc.
