We use the letter K on all of ours without any problem. I would mention that you be sure to obtain labels that comply with IBM's latest specification. The upgraded firmware on these libraries makes the scanning very snesitive. It causes the library not to read some of the labels. We have to replace all of ours and that is a real pain.
