By default dsmcad is listining with port 1581 , on your alternate nodename opt
file you can put the entry:
HTTPORT 1582
Load your dsmcad -optfile=......./alternate_nodename_optfile
And to connect to this alternate nodename : http://ipnumber:1582

To enable backups of Oracle 7 datafiles and to separate these out from the
normal backups I registered the machine again using a different nodename. Is it
possible to run the dsmcad programme in such a way that it will accept
connections to the machine and show the files that have been backed up on that
machine using the alternative nodename?
