Hi all I have a "funny" problem - If I install the above mentioned TDP for Exchange (dowsn't matter if it's versions for Exch. 5.5, 2000 or 2003), and enable compression the backup typically functions without any problems... At start anyway - after a given period of time (can be a week, a month, a year you name it) the full backup fails with the errormessage "COMPRESSED DATA GREW..." - so somewhere along the road the Exchange database suddenly becomes compressed.
The funny thing, is that noone seems to be aware of this should happen (I've asked all the Exchange experts I know - same answer: not to their knowledge)! So where does all this leave me? Should I never use compression? Are there anyone who knows more about Exchange than my experts do ;o) ? In this situation it would be nice if the "COMPRESS ALWAYS" function were enabled in the TDP agent....
