I have created a command script that contains the following: query media stg=tape_ndmp_offsite - format=cmd wherestate=mountablenotinlib wherestatus=ful,fil - cmd="checkin libvol drnaslib &vol status=private - checkl=n" cmdf=/t01/dr/nascheckin.vols append=no
I have created an Admin schedule that will run once/day at 13:05 so that I can create the checkin commands for my NAS NDMP backup tapes in case of a disaster. I have tested the creation of nascheckin.vols file and it has been successfully created. I am at the point where I am a little confused as to how I will be able to run this at a DR site. Can I: 1. Run the file as an executable from the server where the file resides? It is an AIX 5.2 TSM server at 5.2.4.5 and the file has the following permissions: -rw-r----- 1 root system 18480 Feb 09 10:51 nascheckin.vols Do I just have to change the permissions, log on to the AIX server and then from the /t01/dr directory do: ./nascheckin.vols? 2. Do I have to login as dsmadmc -server=tsmprod -id=xxxxxxx -pass=xxxxxx macro /t01/dr/nascheckin.vols? Which runs it as a macro on the TSM server. Please let me know if you have any suggestions/comments. I have never done such a thing before and I can't really test this onsite... Thanks in advance! ******************************** Joni Moyer Highmark Storage Systems, Systems Programmer NEW NUMBER: (717)302-9966 NEW FAX: (717) 302-9826 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ********************************
