First, do not strip message numbers off of messages you post when seeking help. This is probably message ANS1312E. Start by referring to the Messages manual, or 'dsmc help' for the vendor's recommendations. Beyond that, see past postings on possible causes in the List archives, or see the summary of causes in http://people.bu.edu/rbs/ ADSM.QuickFacts. I would also recommend reviewing your Activity Log for the 24 hour period preceding the message, to see what has been happening to your drives. Query PATH and Query DRive are also basic things to do when drive access is an issue. Richard Sims
