Hi Andy, Following the lead Richard Sim threw me in, it could possibly be caused by the account permission with whcih TSM is trying to acces the target NTFS. In order to access the network drive or share via the TSM client GUI or command line, the Windows account that started TSM must have an equivalent Windows account and password on the target machine. A common solution is to use a Domain account which has sufficient privilege on both machines.Hope this sheds some light. thx.

We see these every few weeks. We have not had the time to determine the root cause; however, a 90% fix rate has been achieved by restarting the Windows host. The very odd thing is the one that happened today is the same path as yours. We do know that you cannot exclude the file, because TSM encounters the error will reading the directory. In this case we have asked to exclude to directory. In other cases we have only ever seen this error on the C drive and it seems to be a corrupt disk entry, but we have not confirmed this theory.
