Joni Each of your examples seem to show TSM baulking about the string that follows the first space in your filelist path ( 'open systems' in your first example and then 'legacy modernization' in the second)
I can only think that somehow your terminal emulation is not actually transmitting quotes to TSM, even if you think you are typing them, or you are using the quote key but the keyboard map is transmitting another character. If I enter your command on one of our TSM servers here, with quotes, I don't get the syntax error. Here's what I'm getting: 12/07/06 10:29:14 ANR2017I Administrator LIDDZXL issued command: RESTORE NODE nas_server_2 /root_vdm_4/HMCH1015_G /temp_server_2 filelist=?FSCORPPUB1/Legacy Modernization/04= Reference= Material/Claims/Analysis/Systems= Analysis/Componentizat ion/Detail= Design/BT-Claim= April/InProgress/YCLDT0EA-B D= Extended= Function= Variation= Program= Specification s.doc?= PITD=12/01/2006 PITT=23:00 WAIT=no (SESSION: 539952) 12/07/06 10:29:14 ANR2020E RESTORE NODE: Invalid parameter - MODERNIZATION/ 04. Can anyone see what my mistake might be? Thanks in advance! I am trying to restore 2 files to a temporary location for our NDMP backups using the command line. RESTORE NODE nas_server_2 /root_vdm_14/hmvdm_tst /temp_server_2 filelist=?/STOREMGT/Open Systems/THINGS TO DO.doc?PITD=12/01/2006 PITT=23:00 WAIT=no nas_server_2 = node name /root_vdm_14/hmvdm_tst = source filespace name /temp_server_2 = destination filesystem /STOREMGT/Open Systems/THINGS TO DO.doc = full path & name of file I keep getting invalid parameter. I ran this from a command line opened on our GUI. It is AIX 5.3 TSM 5.2.7.1. Any ideas? Thanks! ******************************** Joni Moyer Highmark Storage Systems, Senior Systems Programmer Phone Number: (717)302-9966 Fax: (717) 302-9826 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ********************************
