Hi list, I have been directed here by some guys over on aix-l in the hope of finding a simple answer to my question. The question is this: is there any way to tell the exact path a Jaguar 2 drive is using at a given time?
The drive has two FC connectors and connected to two separate SANs and is driven by the Atape driver on an AIX 5.3 box. The AIX devices (rmt0 and rmt1) have alt_pathing enabled, one of them is PRI, the other is ALT. So far so good. When one path fails it gets taken over, and the situation is handled at OS level; however, the PRI and ALT labels are NOT changed after the initial configuration regardless of the actual path layout. The lspath command does not support Atape devices, the lsdev, lsattr and lscfg commands are not of much help either. I'd appreciate any pointers. Thanks, sbzx
