I don't suppose you can hold your customer off until you move to TSM 5.3? We had a brief fling with backupsets under TSM 5.2 and were sorely disappointed. We never really figured out how to manage the tape volumes; they don't fit into the TSM mindset--at least, I couldn't figure it out. We upgraded to TSM 5.3 and haven't looked back. Group collocation works *great*. I recently had to restore a filesystem with active files that had been backed up over the course of a couple of years. That's the scenario that used to be a nightmare; with group collocation the restore mounted only three tapes. Honest...I don't get a commission from IBM on group collocations <grin>, anker
