Hi Doug, While a simple node/mgmtclass relationship may be the norm in your shop, it doesn't have to be. You can literally have two files residing in the same directory wioth different retentionr equirements and thus different mgmtclasses. There is no relation other than the includes that were in place at the time the backup was made (or when the last rebind occurred if the file still exists on disk).
So, there is no easy way to do what you ask, and there is no real validity to that data even if you could get it. Regards Steve Steven Harris AIX and TSM admin Brisbane, Australia Doug Fox wrote:
I must be having a complete mind blank. I'm looking to get a report or be able to search and find out what mgmt class a node is using. I need to create a report of everything we're backing up, how much space each node is taking, and their retention. Would there be an easy peasy way of doing this? So far I've just made some excel sheets listing the nodes and thier occupancy, and schedule. I just can't seem to find where it says what MGMT class they're using so I can report their retention as well. Could someone plese refresh my memory? Many thanks in advance!! -Dug :)
