Hi Tim, We are backing up 80 GW post offices with 50,000 users and millions of object each. We don't have any problems.
We are using NetWare 6.5 SP2. Are you using the TSAFS switch EnableGroupwise=true ? We are using a Management Class for (Shrdynamic) as its copy Serialization. And we don't need any retries. The only files we had to exclude are messages which are in the process of being sent or received (transient). Other than that we have a 100% success rate. These are tested backups as we are restoring at least 5 post offices a week. Cheers Kind Regards Marco Malgarini -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Timothy Hughes Sent: Friday, 2 March 2007 06:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ADSM-L] Novell DB files skipped from Tivoli Incremental backups To satisfy our Novell client ( They know that such "fuzzy" backups may or may not restore properly) I am going to set up the Management Class for (Shrdynamic) as its copy serialization. They would like to at least try this. If we have a Management Class already set up could I just edit the dsm.opt file of the Novell servers and enter the following include GW:/.../*.db SPECIAL<<<<name of Mgmt class Mgmt Class Name SPECIAL Default Mgmt Class ?
