1. The RSM service should be DISABLED, not just stopped, so that it doesn't start again at reboot. 2. For non-IBM devices, you need to use the Tivoli STorage Manager device driver, not the HP drivers. >From your 5.3.0 CD, install the TSM device driver. Then see the TSM admin >guide for Windows topic "Controlling Devices on Windows Server 2003" for >instructions to replace the HP driver. If the TSM driver won't load, you will also need an MS hotfix for Windows 2K3: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/901371 4. FWIW, each TSM service package is a complete replacement of the server. Once you installed the license manager from the 5.3.0 CD, you could have just installed 5.3.5.0. No need to install the fixes in between.

Steps followed: 1- Stoped the Windows Removable Storage Managment Service. 2- Powered up the library and when prompted installed all the drivers for it using HP drivers and its installation procedures. 3- The library and two drives are visible appropriately in the Computer Management --> Devices 4- Installed TSM 5.3.0 and upgraded to 5.3.1.0 then 5.3.2.0 then 5.3.3.0 then 5.3.4.0 then 5.3.5.0. 2- Installed ISC and Admin Center 3- Started TSM Management Console 4- Started initial configuration wizard and moved well till the device configuration appears. 5------- The devices can't be found by the server. 5555 ---- As I see in the TSM Device Driver section --- I can see clearly Library and two drives with all the information including Serial numbers etc. 6- I then try to add library with Admin center .. and it does. 7- I then try to add a drive to the library and it fails saying that the object you are trying to access do not exist. Where am I wrong?? Kindly anyone enlighten me on this !!! Thanking you ! Sadi
