Hi Michael,

our Linux guru told me he was using "alien" (see: 
http://kitenet.net/~joey/code/alien/)
to convert rpm to deb.

AFAIK, Knoppix is a close relative of Debian which makes use of .deb, not .rpm.
How do you install the client on it?

(Do you extract RPM and then manually implant the files???)
