You will need to do the following on the server where you will be doing the restore:
1) Copy the password file TDPO.XXXXXX from the /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin of the source server to the target 2) Modify the /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin/tdpo.opt TDPO_NODE variable to point to the source server 3) Modify the /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsm.sys RMAN stanza's Servername to point to the source. Realize that making these changes affect's the current RMAN backup scheme on the destination server. Remember when done to put these entries back or else your backup associations will be messed up. Better yet, create a parallel RMAN virtual restore environment so that you do not affect the current backup environment ( ie create a RMANTSM_RESTORE stanza in the dsm.sys, create another tdpo.opt and call it tdpo_restore.opt etc ... ) Rich -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Abayomi Oni Sent: Friday, August 24, 2007 9:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [ADSM-L] TSM - Oracle RMAN restore I did an Oracle TSM-RMAN backup on node1, how can I restore and recover the backup onto an oracle DB on node2.
