One way might be to have SQL make a backup to disk then use your favorite file transfer program to bring the file local. The upside is there would be a local backup if needed. The downside is the complexity and extra disk needed.

Does anyone have a good solution for remote backup clients that have database files on them? We are struggling with getting backups on these remote servers when they have SQL databases on them. If we let them run too long in the attempt to get a backup, they eventualy pin the log on the TSM server and we risk the server crashing. Any ideas on how to accomplish this task would be greatly appreciated!
