My TSM server, 5.3.4.0 is on AIX 5.3, TL6-2 on a IBM p630 with a DVD-RAM drive. I have looked at this and it appears that the only "writing" you can do to the DVD drive is with mkcd/mkdvd, or similar.
Have spent some time on this and got nowhere. Currently use 8MM 20GB tape for copying the DRM files from "prepare" to send offsite daily. It seems to me the DVD would be better, in that I could also put other DR docs on it AND then at DR time, this could also be read by just about any laptop/desktop out there also. Is there a way to use the IBM DVD-RAM like this? Thanks, David Longo ##################################### This message is for the named person's use only.
