Hi *SM-ers

I hope the weekend was great and that your TSM-servers went much better than
ours.

We have run a "Generate Backupset" job on our TSM Server and normally does this
job takes around 1-2 weeks to run.

But guess what. Almost in the end of our "Generate backupset" did our TSM
Server get a Media Error and then automatic just killed the process.

I tried to look around in TSM to see if I can run some sort of restart command.
But it looks like I need to restart the entire process and start all over again.

This is not good for us because of it takes almost 2 weeks and we don't really
have time to restart it until we going to start our next "Generate Backupset"
process.

My question to you all is:

Is there any way for me to restart the process where if left of or can I set
some settings in TSM so if it goes media error that it just tell us the error
and then continue on another tape?

I got a feeling that "Generate Backupset" is not that robust so we really can
trust it.

Please come with advice or any feedback.

TSM Runs on: Windows Server 2003 (x86 x 4 CPU)

TSM Server version: 5.4.1.2
