We have recently installed a new TSM 5.5 server on AIX. The preious server was running TSM 5.3 on AIX. We have a mix of 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5 clients backing up to the 5.5 server; these successfully backed up tot he TSM 5.3 server.
Below is an example of the type of errors we are seeing after upgrading the client to 5.5 on NetWare 6.5 SP7+. AIX v 5300-05 (5.3), Maint rel 7, Sp2 TSM 5.5.0.0. Netware clients 5.2, 5.3.4, 5.5 Netware OS - 6.5 - SP5 Any ideas? Clients show up as "failed". dsmsched.log actually shows data transferred. Sample ? SERVER1 (upgraded to client ver 5.5, same errors w\earlier versions) Also upgraded SERVER1 and errors disappeared (at least for last night). Are we actually backing up all data or just part of the data? We are also seeing the following message: ANR0536W: Transaction failed for session session number for node node name (client platform) - downlevel client does not support format of stored files. IBM's reccomendation for this msg is to upgrade to the latest client version. I did that on the test boxes l listed above, but still saw this msg on one of them.
