It is an undocumented option. I'm not sure which version of TSM it was first available. Look at the "DELete VOLHistory " here: http://people.bu.edu/rbs/ADSM.QuickFacts

I don't see that option available for the delete volhist command. This TSM server is only at 5.3.5.2, but will be upgraded shortly to a supported version. Just let me know either way and thanks for the syntax!!! ******************************** Joni Moyer Highmark Storage Systems, Storage Mngt Analyst III Phone Number: (717)302-9966 Fax: (717) 302-9826 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ******************************** "Shawn Drew" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> 08/05/2008 02:24 PM Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> To [email protected] cc Subject Re: Delete the last DBSnapshot del volhist todate=today type=dbs force=yes Regards, Shawn ________________________________________________ Shawn Drew Internet [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent by: [email protected] 08/05/2008 02:19 PM Please respond to [email protected] To ADSM-L cc Subject [ADSM-L] Delete the last DBSnapshot Hi Everyone, I used to use database snapshots going to a file device class. I no longer need/want to run database snapshots, but I cannot seem to delete the last one. I also still run a database backup to tape, which I want to keep. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this database snapshot so that I can delete the file system from the TSM server? Thanks in advance!
