Hi all: I want reinstall my OS(centos4.4) and TSM(tsm 5.3.2). I do the following steps: before reinstall OS & TSM: 1.backup /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/dsmserv.opt & devcnfg.out & volhis.out & dsmserv.dsk 2.backup db devclass=dbbackupfile type=full (on TSM command line) 3.record information about the dbvol and logvol 4.halt the TSM server
reinstall OS(centos4.4) and TSM. after reinstall: 1.cp dsmserv.opt & devcnfg.out & volhis.out & dsmserv.dsk to /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/ 2.dsmfmt -db db1 100 3.dsmfmt -data diskvol 5000 3.dsmserv extend db db1 100 (db1 is the dbvol's name) 4.dsmserv restore db todate=today than, when I start my TSM,and : tsm: CENTOS1.DONGGUA.COM>q vol Volume Name Storage Device Estimated Pct Volume Pool Name Class Name Capacity Util Status ------------------------ ----------- ---------- --------- ----- -------- /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/- ARCHIVEPOOL DISK 5.0 0.1 On-Line bin/archive.dsm /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/- BACKUPPOOL DISK 10.0 0.0 On-Line bin/backup.dsm _/opt/tivoli/tsm/server/- DISKPOOL DISK 0.0 0.0 Off-Line (mark) bin/diskvol _ TSM1 NEWPOOL NEWDEVCLA- 24,006.8 100.0 Full SS TSM2 NEWPOOL NEWDEVCLA- 40,960.0 2.8 Filling SS TSM3 NEWPOOL NEWDEVCLA- 40,960.0 16.6 Filling SS TSM4 NEWPOOL NEWDEVCLA- 0.0 0.0 Empty SS why /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/diskvol OFF-Line ? and when i "vary online /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/diskvol", i got the message "ANR1315E Vary-on failed for disk volume /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/diskvol - invalid label block."
