The "Days since..." fields are computed based on the respective "Last backup..." field.
The "Last Backup..." fields are updated by the backup-archive client when you perform an incremental backup operation on the entire file system (selective backup, or backup of some files is insufficient to update these fields). The "Last Backup..." fields are updated by API applications when they call the dsmUpdateFS API function. Among other things, that API function updates the last backup start and completion times. It is up to the application to perform the update.
