Why not signon to the client and use the QUERY BACKUP command of the client? Use the -INACTIVE parameter and you should get everything, including filesize.

If I issue the command q occ KL10FE1F TSM returns the following occupancy for filespace /var: Node Name Type Filespace FSID Storage Number of Physical Logical Name Pool Name Files Space Space Occupied Occupied (MB) (MB) ---------- ---- ---------- ----- ---------- --------- --------- --------- KL10FE1F Bkup /var 43 DL_LBU1 27,100 1,050,203 1,049,884 However, when I issue a q filespace KL10FE1F /var TSM returns: Node Name Filespace FSID Platform Filespace Is Files- Capacity Pct Name Type pace (MB) Util Unicode? --------------- ----------- ---- -------- --------- --------- -------- ----- KL10FE1F /var 43 Linux86 EXT3 No 2,015.8 43.5 This node is backed up daily (1 time per day), incremental only and data is kept for 7 days. Let's assume 100% of the data in /var changes daily, the maximum amount of data in TSM should be 7 * 2 Gb. (size of /var) = 14 Gb. So why does TSM say that 1 Tb. of data is stored for /var? The problem is I don't know how to check this. The TSM database table BACKUPS contains the filename of the backed up files, while the size is kept in the OBJECT table if I'm correct. Thank you very much for any reply in advance!
