Kelly, We've got a few GPFS clusters (Suse Linux) where a LAN-free backup is taken with the storage agent.
A virtualnodename is used for the backup of the GPFS file systems so that it doesn't matter on which node the backup is started. The backups (and restores if required) are load-balanced manually across the GPFS nodes. It is ashame that TSM does not truly understand the concept of a GPFS file system.
