Hi Del, I am just running legacy backups from the primary node. I guess I'm just looking for verification on what I am reading within the manual. I don't see how else I could read into that statement, but to me running an incremental backup would in fact backup the log files and then delete them which would be clearing the logs. I'm just unsure of myself due to an IBM consultant telling me otherwise.
Just let me know either way. And thanks!!!! ******************************** Joni Moyer Highmark Storage Systems, Storage Mngt Analyst III Phone Number: (717)302-9966 Fax: (717) 302-9826 [email protected] ******************************** "Del Hoobler" <[email protected]> Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> 01/30/2009 10:29 AM Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" <[email protected]> To [email protected] cc Subject Re: TDP for Mail: Verify which backup type clears the logs? Hi Joni, Are you running legacy backup from the primary node? .... or VSS backups from the replica node? Data Protection for Exchange supports incremental for legacy backups but does not yet support incremental for VSS backups.
