I have a client with 3 Exchange serves w/2.5TB of mail, running the TDP and they are using LAN-FREE. They want to vitrualize the three servers onto a new VMware farm. Will they be able to still use the LAN-FREE on the VM? I saw on the Info Center that a guest is not supported directly for LAN-FREE but that there was a way to do it using VCB. I can't find any good info. Does anyone have experience with this configuration? Any help or info would be appreciated!
in theory, yes, but, VMWare doesn't allow you to route FC tape drives to your guest OS, so that is a bit of a problem. If you have SCSI or SAS drives, this should work....
