Some real world experience is helpful. Thanks. Currently my TSM server at this site is a P6-550. 10 LTO-4 drives. Peaks around 70% proc utilization with an average of 30%. How would I need to size the library manager for a library of this size ? Are there limitations for how much data could be in the library? I did see that TSM would need to be installed on the library manager. Extra licensing.
One option I was thinking of using was, create partitions of the 550, one as the library manager. And one as the TSM server using multiple TSM instances on it. Or possible multiple partitions with individual TSM instances. Can anyone recommend one method over the other ? And why ?
