Hi there I am doing some testing to backup a NetApp CIFS filer via TSM - I have a dedicated front end machine running windows, where I have configured the dsm.opt file to backup the filer as a network object Eg in dsm.opt DOMAIN ALL LOCAL DOMAIN \\CIFS-Sharename\path
And thats all working well. I have got a NetApp NFS filter as well, where I have been able to backup via snapshot technology and back it up with a proxy nodename, so all i need to do is expand a snapshot, and can browse the files / directory paths below for restoration. Wondering if I can do this for CIFS backup in NetApp as well through TSM - NOTE: do not have NDMP enabled.

Santos Ltd A.B.N. 80 007 550 923
Disclaimer: The information contained in this email is intended only for the use of the person(s) to whom it is addressed and may be confidential or contain privileged information.
