In DB2 for open systems we can simply issue "backup database mydb use tsm".
In this case, DB2 can send backup data over TCP/IP (apparently TSM API is
required between DB2 and TSM server?).
What I understand is that TSM incompatibility between the open and mainframe
worlds is more an IBM strategy than a technological issue. Correct?
