Hi Gary, Yes, it is possible to do this. You need to define a secondary CAD to handle the TDP scheduled operations, and use a separate node name from the backup-archive client. Note: in general, it is best practice to use unique node names for different TSM applications running on the same machine, i.e., do not configure TDP for SQL to use the same node name as the regular backup-archive client.
The following portion of the client manual discusses the top of multiple schedulers: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tsminfo/v6/topic/com.ibm.itsm.client.doc/t_sched_mngmult.html Best regards, Andy Andy Raibeck IBM Software Group Tivoli Storage Manager Client Product Development Level 3 Team Lead Internal Notes e-mail: Andrew Raibeck/Hartford/i...@ibmus Internet e-mail: [email protected] IBM Tivoli Storage Manager support web page: http://www.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/Overview/Software/Tivoli/Tivoli_Storage_Manager The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
