I ran across this comment in IBM article 1203271 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21203271
"During server initialization, Tivoli Storage Manager server will access the library. If the library inventory has changed, it will be refreshed at that time." Does this sound correct? Tomorrow evening we are adding a frame to a 3584. Our library manager TSM instance will be shutdown during the upgrade. While we aren't moving any existing tapes around, I planned to start the TSM instance and immediately run a library audit. The comment above makes it sound like like TSM can detect on startup that a audit is needed and automatically perform the audit.
