In our DR environment there are times when a R2 or BCV (read-only volume) is presented to the client for a short period of time and TSM will attempt to backup the volume. These volumes are read-only and should only be backed up in a DR situation where the volume will be presented as read-write. Is there a way native to TSM where a read-only (or R2, BCV) volume is excluded by policy or other means? Has anyone else had a similar situation and found a solution? The R2/BCV volumes are usually only presented during a DR test (where they are read-only) and the admins sometime forget to pull the hba's untill we get a backup failure and remind them.
