With Exchange 2010, Data Protection for Exchange utilizes
the VSS backup method. Because of this, it leverages the
Window BA Client backup engine to send the files to the
TSM Server. And so, in your case, it appears you have a
general performance issue related to the backup of the
files while utilizing the Window BA Client backup engine.
You could try increasing the RESOURCEUTILIZATION value
in the DSM.OPT file for the DSMAGENT. If that does not help,
I recommend opening a PMR with IBM support.

Thanks,

Del
