So my attention wandered a bit since last talking about this issue and now I'm thinking about it again: http://www.adsm.org/lists/html/ADSM-L/2009-06/msg00189.html
Basically, it is about the data transferred and how the value differs between the Summary table and the accounting logs. I would like to have a reliable, accurate way of answering the question "How much data do you back up each day?" and not rely on the inaccurate data that is in the Summary table (which seems to be inflated by retries due to "shared" copygroup settings) We have several TSM servers and I would like to avoid going to the file system to access the accounting logs. Is the accounting information in the DB somewhere? This message and any attachments (the "message") is intended solely for the addressees and is confidential.
