David, Allen I believe the WWN reported by Q DRIVE F=D is the node WWN, not the port WWN so I would expect it to remain constant.
I too have often wondered why the WWN is not returned by a SELECT on the DRIVES table since it must be in the database. Assuming you've got SANDISCOVERY enabled, it is possible to obtain the information from a join on the DRIVES and the SAN table but, if my system is anything to go by, performance might be dire. I'm guessing this is because any SELECT on the SAN table initiates a SAN discovery and this can take a long time to return if you've got a lot of external disks / tape drives (I've got 188 rows in my SAN table!). Coupled with this, the performance of joins (at least prior to v6) was never that hot. Anyway, try something like this: tsm: TSMLM1>select dv.drive_name,san.node_wwn,san.port_wwn from drives dv, san where dv.drive_serial=san.serial ANR2963W This SQL query may produce a very large result table, or may require a significant amount of time to compute..
