Hi to all I do a backup of my VMware farm with TSM for VE 7.1.0 and TSM server 7.1.0.
My storage pool for the backup vm's are in dedup state with device type of FILE and named DEDUPVM . I have to create another storage pool for the control files (no dedup) with device type DISK named VM_CTLPOOL. I have in the dsm.opt those statements: VMCTLMC MGVMCTL (management class for VM's data policy) VMMC MGDEDUP (management class for CTL data policy) In the configuration of the copygroup for the management MGDEDUP is a statement for the Table of Contents (TOC) , I wonder which management class to specify MGDEDUP or MGVMCTL for best performance ….
